Ripple

Productivity-focused operation management PDA.

Designed May 2025 at Brunel University London.

Module: Human Factors (Year 3).

Ripple is a concept for a handheld PDA (personal digital assistant) that better supports retail staff and managers through the daily work of running a store.

It brings inventory, pricing, customer assistance, and task coordination into one device built for single-handed use, with intuitive navigation and an ergonomic form. LiDAR and infrared sensing give it deep spatial awareness, letting it respond to its surroundings and support more context-aware workflows.

The aim was to streamline those workflows and ease the physical and cognitive strain of a fast-paced retail floor.
