Glo-Kit
Modular sports playset that feels like a video game.
Glo-Kit was a second-year project developed from a collaborative brief with a major toy manufacturer.
I was drawn to how retroreflective materials were used for visual effects in films like Tron and Star Wars, and wanted to turn that material behavior into building blocks kids could use to invent their own games. My response was a modular kit that reconfigures in different ways, its retroreflective surfaces producing a video-game-like glow.
A companion headset houses small flashlights aligned with the wearer’s line of sight, which is what makes the pieces light up.
